Lead Pastor:

Now in their 18th year at Evangel, Ken and Rhonda Lamden continue to rejoice in the goodness of God to bring them to Powell River. Ken loves to teach the Word and to see people grow in the faith. "We want to be a people who have received God's love can give it away -a people of the Word and a people of the Spirit". 

Ken and Rhonda enjoy  the outdoors, especially biking and camping. They have four children and six grandchildren.  Ken is a graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and Northwest Bible College in Edmonton, Alberta.

Children and Pre-Teens:

We are very thankful for the great job Maegan Kimball has done in overseeing the Children & Youth Ministries.  Maegan has been with us for six years and is recently married.  We look forward to what the Lord will do in our children and pre-teens.

Youth and Young Adults: 

Mark, and Melanie Lamden lead the Youth and Young Adult ministries. Mark also leads worship and helps with the Sunday preaching.  Periodically Mark also  substitute teaches in the public school system.

Both Mark and Melanie grew up in Powell River and have come through the Evangel Youth Group. They both attended Summit Pacific College, and Mark is a graduate of Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo. They have two children Brynlea and Caelan.  Having taught public school in Nanaimo for three years, Mark and Melanie felt the call of the Lord to come back to Powell River to serve the Body of Christ and to be a part of reaching the community.  They are in their second year at Evangel.
