Why is a new Church being built?
For
over 10 years Evangel has been making plans to expand its facilities to
accomodate its growth. During this process, it was determined that the
old church site did not have the space necessary to fit our vision for
the future. The location of the old building on the property did not
permit it to be expanded effectively, and the amount of parking would
not be sufficient. Because of these factors, the church body decided to
sell the old church building and launch out in faith to build a larger
sanctuary on 8 acres which was purchased a few years ago.
The extra land has many possibilities, and the possibility of
partnering with other organizations will also be explored, with a
retirement village or an educational centre as just two of many
ideas.
